Sant Feliu de Guíxols, es una ciudad turística con una amplia gama de actividades deportivas y acuáticas. Situada al fondo de la bahía, queda dominida a poniente por el promontorio de Sant Elm, acoge la ermita donde se venera a este santo patrono de la marinería, constituye un mirador sobre la población y sobre la costa.
Sant Feliu de Guíxols cuenta con interesantes monumentos, como el monasterio benedictino de Sant Feliu de Guíxols, con su famosa Porta Ferrada, pórtico prerrománico, y la instalación, en sus antiguas dependencias, del Museo de Historia de la Ciudad, o como varios edificios modernistas, entre los que destaca el Nuevo Casino La Constancia. Un lugar destacado en los límites de Santa Cristina d´Aro es La Pedralta.
La playa de Sant Feliu de Guíxols se encuentra emplazada en el casco urbano de la población. Sant Feliu dispone de una depuradora de aguas residuales y de maquinaria especial para la limpieza diaria de la arena. El Club Naútico acoge a embarcaciones dedicadas a cruceros y excursiones, que unen diferentes puntos, desde Calella de la Costa hasta Palamós.
El paseo elevado del Fortim separa las instalaciones del Club Náutico y las del varadero y puerto comercial y pesquero. La costa continúa con un tramo rocoso, lleno de escollos e islitas. El primer recodo que se encuentra en Sant Feliu de Guíxols, es la cala Joncas. Siguen altos acantilados entre los cuales destaca la cala del Molí, protegida de vientos por un espigón natural.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols, a very attractive major town on the beach itself with a small selection of family run hotels. The seafront has a very pleasant promenade lined with pavement cafes leading to the harbour at the Northern end.
Sant Feliu has some wonderful buildings thanks to the properity of the nineteenth century cork industry. The town grew around the monastery whose ruins still stand.
The history museum and the squat round tower and tenth century arched gateway La Porta Ferrada sit back from the square.
